Posted by James-AgentBlack, 03-01-2008, 03:32 PM
We have experienced a fire in the datacenter that our servers are hosted in. We apologize for the problem, and we are working as quickly as possible to restore all accounts. This outage affects not only our servers, but several hundred other servers. We are unsure of how long this outage will last, but rest assured all users will be fairly compensated. If you have any questions, please feel free to email our partner site: steadfast @ paintballhosting.com (removed spaces) . All questions and comments will be answered as quickly as possible. Thank you. James Chief Information Officer steadFAST Hosting LLC www.steadfasthosting.net

SoftLayer... Must have been one incredibly small fire to only affect a single server.

I just asked softlayer if they had a fire in the DC and they said No.

NO they claim it affected several hundred servers, Sounds to me like somone is confused.

What does Softlayer say? Would be pretty easy to verify this information.

It appears that it was just a fire on this server. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=675100 Them and this guy are both on the same server. I'm impressed! /me thinks someone forgot to pay the bills this month

So much for a "fire" huh

Im not sure who this guy is, but he is also possibly affected by the fire. Blue fiber networks is the service that experienced the fire. i assure you, the site was not removed due to DMCA. Also, the TOS was reviewed by my legal staff, and was found to be not in violation. And the slander that you folks are giving my company will not be tolerated. There is a very clear difference between my steadFAST Hosting and Steadfast Networks. If you are not able to detect the differences, then i'm sorry that is not my problem. It was reviewed and showed not to be in violation. Any FURTHER comments about this topic will need to be directed to legal@paintballhosting.com. This issue is NOT open for public debate, and I personally will not stand by and have this in my topic. I have enough problems with people upset about the fire, i DONT need any more fluff from any of you. Karl, if you have any FURTHER problems, you can contact me directly.
