You have options in base CentOS repositories, and more in rpmforge, etc repositories. yum search ftp yum install Then start it with "service" command. Ie service proftpd start for ProFTPd

JustinAY already told you how to install it. Now all you need to do is read the manual.

Try to install vsftp. Its really simple to configure on a centos server and you dont need to configure up any user with it. Just creating a linux user would allow you to login with its password. Its using the passwd file, so you dont need to configure any user or its home directory which will automatically be perceived from the passwd file. You can google as to how to configure vsftp on centos, you would get hands enough links to configure it

I'd recommend pure-ftpd it also can use the linux passwd file, its very easy to configure and managed, I prefer it over vsftp and proftpd
