I am not able to remove a database table.... because of that table i am not able to take backup of my database... its showing in use... tried both with phpmyadmin and ssh... but it keeps on giving me this error - Unexpected eof found when reading file './dbname/vb_taggregate_temp_1301961360.frm' (Errcode: -1) Please someone help.. Thanks

NOT a DATA base expert!!! But I would try to repair the database in phpmyadmin and then see if could delete the data base. More that likely it is corrupt and the data on the disk cannot be read to delete that data.

already tried to repair... but getting error dbname.vb_taggregate_temp_1301961360 repair Error Incorrect information in file: './dbname/... dbname.vb_taggregate_temp_1301961360 repair error Corrupt

what to type instead of root - myisamchk -r -u root -p tablename ?? other methods tried

if you just want to delete it you could stop the server and delete any /var/lib/mysql/dbname/vb_taggregate_temp_1301961360.* files you find.

You may try by deleting the data in the certain table and drop it.
