Doesn't suPHP allow inheritance of php.ini config in sub directories?

On my hoster (reseller paln with cPanel/WHM) I have suPHP. I use my own php.ini configuration (just some small changes to the standard configuarton) which I placed in home/my_cpanel_account_name/public_html In the same folder, in the .htacces I added this line to turn on suPHP: Well everything was working fine, but I noticed that my home/my_cpanel_account_name/public_html/php.ini config was not inherited by sub directories. So i complained to my hoster, and he is basically fixing this per directory basis, I mean one by one. I don't know where he does these changes probably in httpd.conf where I do not have access (I'm on reseller account). What I don't understand is: when we use suPHP, can't the user defined home/my_cpanel_account_name/public_html/php.ini config simply be inherited in all subdirectories, instead of being necessary to set it up one by one in main configuartion??? It seems odd to me!

Try adding a / at the beginning of your path (suPHP_ConfigPath /home/my_cpanel_account_name/public_html) to ensure you are using the right path. Not unless you specify it in .htaccess
