You cannot change time inside a VE, however, you can set a timezone by creating a symlink with the files under the /usr/share/zoneinfo directory. For example, to set a Singapore timezone, execute BTW, if the time on the host server is incorrect, you can install the NTP server which will sync the host server time with the TIMESERVERS you set.

To Synchronize the server time you can use rdate.

If you are the VPS host company, then you would have access to Virtuozzo Virtual Server Panel. You could then apply a Parallels fix. Once such Parallels fix is at this URL: forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=97688 And I would think that would work. But I don't know, because I am a user of VPS. I use a VPS from a hosting company to host my website. So, if you are like me, you could talk to your VPS host company to try to get them to apply a Parallels fix. Or, if you need a workaround to the Virtuozzo time zone problem, there is a cheap utility that sets the time zone to whatever you want. If you are talking about Windows, you can override what Virtuozzo does with the time zone. You set up this utility in the Startup folder. Then, if you reboot your VPS, for example, the time zone reverts back to what Virtuozzo wants. Then, the Startup folder runs the Set Time Zone utility to re-revert the time zone bact to what you want. This URL has more information on the Set Time Zone Utility: store.eSellerate.net/s.aspx?s=STR8224369298
