GreenSQL experiences?

Hi WHTers,
I had installed the "sql proxy firewall" greensql on my DB host a few months ago. yesterday i finally had the time to activate it and give it a little test run.
I'm not sure what to think:
The one thing it immediately blocked was a show databases; by root@localhost - who if not the mysql root user should be OK to do that - but OK lets say the proxy should not be used for administration. Then what I didn't really like was to manually enter the databases to be under surveillance - forget one and it will be .... inaccessible? unprotected?
Furthermore, on my first test the results were inconclusive: One command got blocked, not blocked, blocked again.

So I wonder, are you using it to ensure only legit queries pass on to your database?
Did you test it and like it?
Are you using it in conjunction with mysql_proxy for HA?

how hard is it to install/setup? and does it work with yum install mysql?

The setup is documented here:
http://www.greensql.net/howto
Quite easy as per that though I had to fix the /var/www example.
(Well, OK to be honest: since I was using the 5.5.x MySQL from MySQL.org instead of the stone-aged version that comes with CentOS it turned into a 3+ hour nightmare, that was only solved when I found the "IUS" yum repo that has current & compatible versions of mysql, php, etc.)
But for a normal setup it should be like a few minutes, then login via the web ui and start tinkering.
