In need for final suggestions for these reseller hosting

Posted by Draco, 12-01-2005, 08:28 PM
Hi there I thought I would stay with my current host, and business is doing really good but it turns out that they're gonna be working on some changes on jan-2006 and some of those include Plan Upgrading, a HUGE upgrading, I'm actually paying 14$ for my reseller account (a small one) but by next year their smallest plan would be of 45$ which is totally outrageous for my needs, therefore I need to move to another place (again). I've been checking all over the forums including offers and reviews, here's come the list of those who seem really good and that fit my needs and budget Oxyte Communications Sonata Web Commi1 Devoted Host the point of this post is that I would like some information update about their services (sites listed above) of (reviews, personal experiences, advices). In case you wonder I DID search over the forums (and read the reviews) same goes to google and even some webhosting info, just need some final words to make out my mind on this. Anything would be appreciated. Thank you

Draco, what are your requirements? That ould help you compare what is more suitable for you..

my requierements are pretty much the standart one, I run my hosting business therefore I need good uptime (current server have aprox 97% uptime), cpanel, whm, fantastico, fast support response (specially weekends), it would be good if the next server be able to transfer my clients, so those are the basics since other requierements are all available on their plans. In terms of disk space anything over 5 Gb of HD and 50 or 60 Gb of Bw (this is the minimum), budget can go from 12 $ (Im paying that currently) but I'm willing to pay up to 20$ . Sites listed above pretty much cover the needs, but i need update on their services (reviews that is)

Hi, I am being hosted with Oxyte right now - and I can tell you - you are gonna get what you pay for. First month (while under 30 day money back guarantee) everything went fine - they were fast with solving any problems. After that 90 % of my support tickets take more than 24 hours to answer (sometimes even more than 2 days) - is pretty tough to get a hold of someone. Right now I cannot connect to my account via FTP (it's been more than 2 days now) - still no answer from them. They only have "email support" available. Last time when my site went down (all my clients also) they even didn't bother to warn me in advance about any their maintenance, they just sent me an "info" email after I got my site back online that they had to do some upgrade or they had some problems bla bla bla.. I am not satisfied with them. Just my 2 cents. You might get lucky though..

I am using Sonata for past one year. Their services are very stable, the sonata team is very helpful and demonstrates commitment to help me out with stuff. High reliablity of servers, I have nearly no downtime; the only downtime I faced was fractional during transfer of my account from one server to another couple of months back. Sonata is absolutely value for money! I took a custom package to host score of my websites and am able to recover every penny of money spent. Wish you all the best in your host hunt!
