DDoS Deflate and Connection Limit

Posted by Mark Muyskens, 03-12-2011, 07:40 PM
Howdy, So I deployed DDoS Deflate to a good number of servers recently and i've noticed that the default number of 150 for max connections per IP seems to be blocking what appears to be a good number of legitimate IPs. Anyone who has been using this script willing to share some feedback regarding there experience and maybe provide a suggestion as to what to change this limit to?

I am looking for this as well. Thanks.

Increase this to 200 and see how it goes.

200 also was too low. Decided on 300 which appears to be sufficient for this environment.

Consider how many connections you get and how long they last to come up with a decent number, otherwise its pure guesswork like what you are doing.
