Lately, All I see lately is so many customers ranting such as. The server is down!, No RESPONSE!!! Companies do try their best if there was no response within 24-48 hours then I get worried. But given hostforweb's reputation I do not think it is fair to compromise their reputable service by posting negative reviews. Put yourselves in their shoes would you want the same?

If I were you I would switch, I've never heard of this host, but than again I'm new to this whole thing and dont know any companies.

Greetings, As for the downtime, I would like to post on what happened here. It have lost some files in the system, which required a partial rebuild to have it back into operation, due to the RPM corruption which took out some files which is needed for the server to operate. I had to rescue the system from the CD and then do full invegistation on the loss of the files and to make judgement call on either to repair the system or do fresh install and rebuild it, which would take more than 6 to 12 hours for all accounts to be restored on the server. Lucky, it was small partial loss of files which allowed me to rebuild it and then test to ensure everything is working properly before putting it online. SInce it have been online since, it is running smoothly after nearly 1 1/2 years of operation since the inception of the server.

cmon wisam74us, give them a break! 1 and a half years with them and this is the first 5/6 hours of downtime? that is not bad at all!

Actually it would be quite bad if this was the second time. The OP obviously has no reason to be happy about what happened and I believe we can all agree to that. Maybe his coming here was a bit hasty though.
