AxisHost Down...

My sites on the AxisHost "Cappa" server appear to be down. No email, no web, and a remote monitoring service confirms the downtime, which appears to have started an hour or two ago. UPDATE: OK IT'S BACK BYE Last edited by appletreats; 07-28-2006 at 06:30 AM.

I think that server is with DedicatedNow, and they were having some packet losses - but I could be wrong.

We are down too... not sure if we are cappa. Has anyone contacted Tina?

We seem to be running again... from the time stamps above though it seems ot have been quite a lengthy outage. Hopefully we will learn why shortly.

We sent out a notice this morning about work we were doing on Cappa and downtime. If you didn't get that email, make sure we have a current email address (not hosted on the server with us) on file in billing for you. Also, apart from that, DedicatedNow is down/up/down/up today. Part of the work we are attempting to do is move away from DedicatedNow - as their service lately has gone downhill. --Tina

lol I was about to post something asking why the axishost.com web site was down (was going to do some side-by-side comparions with something) but decided to check this forum first. Is the site by any chance hosted at DedicatedNow, which would explain it being down? Or is it just me..

Well, the axishost site is down not because of dedicatednow. We host that on a $5 a month hosting account (its only a few static webpages) with a different provider, so that our site will be up in the event that any of our providers are down. But, guess what? Luck of all luck...that provider's server just locked up and they're waiting on LayeredTech to reboot it! What a day!!! --Tina

lol Seems like today is an incredible mess for hosting.. Best of luck to everyone! Thanks for the info Tina, I'll keep trying and hopefully the server'll be rebooted soon.
