Reseller Hosting Comments On 247-Host

Posted by dbguy, 07-23-2004, 06:06 PM
Hello, I am new and I posted this in the Web Hosting forum. I think this belongs here.... One of our websites is hosted with 247-host.com. It is less than a month. I want to get a reseller package to host unlimited domains with them. My goal is to host bunch of my mini sites with them an not really to resell their services. Here are my questions: 1. I have hosted for less than a month and so far so good but has anyone hosted with them on a longer term? Any Comments? 2. Does anyone have reseller account with them? Any Comments on their service. Which are the affordable good reseller web hosts with unlimited domains? I am looking for a space of 1 - 2 GB (even that's a lot!)... Suggestions please. Thanks

Strange, I whois'ed their domain name and found a whole bunch of "-----" in place of what should be their contact information. Seems that they have been around since March.

Thanks for the response. I asked this question yesterday and they replied that they have been in business since 5 years. Later, I actually checked in Google. BTW, I bought the hosting package (not the reseller package just hosting package) from Ebay. Any other comments

These guys suck so bad. They so have no idea on how to run a server. A friend of mine grabbed a hosting account off them from ebay a while back before their server crashed the first time and just recently started using the account again, he noticed that Zend Optimizer wasnt installed he was told it be done in 48hours which 1 week later it still had not been done... contacted them they said its was now fixed. which wasnt. now nearly 2weeks later no zend and waiting on a reply from them HAHAH!! I dunno how these webhost last?

I also bought a website off of them from Ebay. I do not recommend them. My site is down a minium of once every 2 weeks. Now their shop as been removed from Ebay, and they haven't responded to my email about refunding my $. Figure it is gone. My website hasn't loaded in the last 24 hours.

Hey, I recently checked out 247-host. Do you think it would be wise to try them using a monthly billing system (So I don't lose much money) and then if I am not satisfyed, take them up on their 30 money back guarantee?

After reading above reviews, if you still want to risk then all the best.. Also look at following thread as well: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hlight=247host http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=265172 Just wondering, why this domain is listed in http://spyblocker-software.com/IPB/i...?showtopic=688 Hope this helps in your selection

If something seems to good to be true . it probably is. figured for the price there wasn't much to lose. If it worked out great. if not oh well You get what you pay for

Yes a few days back i signed up, never heard a thing from them, no emails for activastion, i had to contact paypal 24 hours later to try get my payment back(1 month) , and thats the only time they did get in contact with me, they did refund my money and offer to set me up again, they told me 5 years i nbiz also, I wouldn't be able to trust them again personally, even though if in never got that $12 back i learnt my first valuable lession in buying online, seek advice if you can, look around, i still am and it's near a week now. If you look around i have had alot of replys about how much stress i was under with them, it was my first buy online also. 247-host no!!! So back to the drawing borad. vik007 had replied to this really old post of mine and it is not there anymore. Looks like it has been removed... There were too many praises for 247-host from vik007 and it sounded like he/ she was marketing for this company. I have 4 web hosting accounts for $25/ year with 247-host. This is a pretty good deal but you get what you pay for. My intention was to create some information minisites (10 - 12 pages) and NOT a business website wherein I am earning a living. If I were building a business website then I'd say NO for this web host. There have been several downtimes. Their uptime of 99% is not correct. i'd say they are around 80% uptime. Once all the files from my website were gone (vanished!)! They did apologize for this and got a backup after about 8 hours. Like I mentioned before these are info sites and I'm not depending on this website for paying my bills so I didn't care. There is no phone support and email support is pretty slow (response in couple of hours to couple of days). Sometimes I had to followup with them about issues to get a response. I also use this website for hosting images for my eBay listings. I guess you get the idea now. This web host is not for serious websites or business websites wherein every 10 mins of downtimes will cost you money! This maybe good for hosting images and websites wherein you don't care too much about downtimes, slow email supports etc.
