hi, i need to connect DE domain with my windows 2008 DE domain have specially roles to use it http://community.godaddy.com/help/article/5825 now i installed domain controller in windows 2008 with the same de name eg: mydomain.de like this guide http://www.windowsreference.com/wind...-server-setup/ i have in Administrative Tools > DNS this settings http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/3841/12350239.png http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/107/64327258.png http://img709.imageshack.us/img709/3456/49905139.png but when i test domain & names servers here http://www.denic.de/en/background/nast.html i get this error Missing glue record for the nameserver (NS) and godaddy doesn't accept ns1, ns2 in nameserver every time i add it to godady i get this email what should i do to solve this error Last edited by moheballah; 01-16-2011 at 11:13 AM.

If you are using same domain for nameservers e.g. ns1.xyz.de / ns2.xyz.de then you have to register nameservers ns1.xyz.de/ns2.xyz.de in godaddy or any of your domain registrar to make it work

i have it in Host Summary in godaddy but i cant add it to Nameservers every time i add it godady delete it and return there dns NS61.DOMAINCONTROL.COM NS62.DOMAINCONTROL.COM and i get this email i think i should pass this test first http://www.denic.de/en/background/nast.html

Add NS records in your godaddy and it will work

i added this ns recorde to .net domain and it accepted from godaddy but in http://www.intodns.com/example.net i get many errors

1) Add A records on your own authorative. 2) I really hope you're not running both on the same box -> AUTO REJECTION 3) None of your DNS servers are responding

i can't understand you in domain i have why it not read the ip ? i have it in host summary in godaddy control panel

What is your actual domain and IPs of ns1/ns2?

It looks like you need a server admin to help you set up dns & nameserver.

According to the DENIC documentation, those value ranges are no longer mandatory. All of the TTL values in the SOA are now "recommendations" and not "requirements".

ok my .de domain is bestfreedown.de hosted in windows 2008 server my .net domain is looly.net hosted in linux server in godaddy for bestfreedown.de i have 1- host summary ( ns1.bestfreedown.de > 174.122.22.178 ) 2- in dns manager in godaddy i have a record ( ns1 > 174.122.22.178 ) 3- dns using godaddy parking dns because i can't change it for looly.net 1- host summary ( ns2.looly.net > 174.122.147.122 ) 2- in dns manager in godaddy i have a record ( ns2 > 174.122.147.122 ) 3- dns using this ns1.bestfreedown.de ( hosted in windows server and using Administrative Tools > DNS ) ns2.looly.net ( hosted in linux server and have cpanel ) here is dns check http://www.intodns.com/looly.net to using it in de i should pass this test for ns1.bestfreedown.de >> get error Missing glue record for the nameserver (NS) ns2.looly.net >> get error
