WHR Enom Domain Name Reseller accounts?

Posted by Slitheryimp, 01-14-2005, 03:59 AM
Hello, I've been looking into getting a domain reseller account, but as I am just starting do not really have the budget for a 'real' reseller account. Does anybody have experience with the 'Web Hosting Report Enom Domain Name Reseller account" ? You can find it here: webhostingreport.net/domains/form.php I am nowhere near starting up yet just looking into my options. Thanks in advance for any help. * Edit - Sorry, I put this in the wrong forum. Please move it if it should be somewhere else. thanks. Last edited by Slitheryimp; 01-14-2005 at 04:02 AM.

It's not likely to be any different from any other enom reseller account of it's type, so you shouldn't have any issues regardless of whether anyone here has experience with that certain company.

lol enom.com is a major domain registrar. (one of the largest) You'd be reselling for them, in the end. thewebhostingreport.net is only signing you up for the account. There are many large resellers of enom, including registerly and namecheap. They are definitely reputable.

If you post any of your questions in the Domain Names forum, you'll get answers from lots of current eNom resellers. eNom claims to be the largest "reseller" registrar, and they are certainly set up to give a lot of really nice perks/benefits with each domain you purchase. (ie: All the free extras.) The only advice I can really give to you, is to be careful about whom you select as your "parent" reseller. This is because if you have problems or need support, eNom will tell you to first contact your parent reseller. This can cause a long delay in support time if your parent reseller doesn't support you very well. Good luck!

From my own experience I can tell that Enom has never denied any of my support requests and they never referred me back to the person who signed me up to get support first. Actually Enom's support has been extremely satisfying whenever I had questions. All Enom accounts created at my site (the one mentioned above) are normal Enom reseller accounts with all the bells and whistles like everywhere else. I did a search to find information about the so-called reseller support and could not find anything mentioned by mrzippy. So, maybe you can provide a link to the support statement that lines out what you said (just curious as I heard this before but never seen it and never got asked by Enom to contact the person who signed me up).

It was included in the ETP contract I had to sign when becoming a Technology Partner with eNom. BTW - self-promotion of your own services is not allowed on these forums.

Self-promotion? I think my response is perfectly within the forum rules. Feel free to report this thread to a moderator if you think that there is self-promotion going on .....! Like I said - I never got referred back to the person who signed me up. But that is just my personal experience - yours might be different.

Thanks for all the great info, especially the link Andrew. By the way, I like your site TheFish, it has helped me greatly. Hopefully I can get my hosting company up within 3-6 months with everyones help
