EXIM Question

Posted by HostingFields, 04-18-2010, 05:58 AM
Hello, I was wondering how could i remove my home IP in mail headers (outgoing email) in EXIM? Right now, it shows full hostname and my IP when i send an email to any server. Thank you, s-f-r-j

Yes, if you will send emails from Outlook, it will show your local machine IP. Use Webmail OR try configuring the email account in Outlook as IMAP instead of POP3 and see if it shows your server IP.

Yep I use Thunderbird and IMAP, but, IMAP is not sending email, SMTP is, thats why IP is shown. So, is there a way to remove that? Thank you, s-f-r-j

Weird. I was googling around, found some webpages saying it can be done. Let me try to find that again, and share with you guys, to see what you say about that. Thanks, s-f-r-j
