Please help me with DirectAdmin DNS setup!

Posted by WootWoot, 03-24-2010, 12:24 PM
Hey guys, I got a problem with DirectAdmin's DNS setup. I followed a tweak suggested by a DA staff to have domains with different IPs under the same user. So I've setup: www1.foobar.com with IP1 www2.foobar.com with IP2 www3.foobar.com with IP3 www4.foobar.com with IP4 www5.foobar.com with IP5 All works beside www4 which show: "Apache is functioning normally". If I resolve the domain's A record, it DOES NOT fit the IP I asked it to use, unlike all other domains. Though, in Direct Admin, DNS records are set properly. What's going on? Thanks!

Hi, Check the main DNS record on the relevant server and check that the correct IP is specified in it. Regards, Suhail.

Thank you very much for the reply Suhail, but could you please be a bit more specific? In DirectAdmin, the DNS records are OK: User Level -> DNS Management -> OK Also, DA uses "Bind": etc -> bind -> www4.foobar.com.db is fine as well!

Check the DNS via http://www.intodns.com as you may be using cache of the old details.
