Citadelhost vs raine-tech

I'm not sure who to choose between citadelhost or rainetech...i've heard nothign but good things of citadelhost, and a few minor bad things about raine-tech...this is from that Private name server etc. Anyone have any ideas? The thing that keeps me attached to raine-tech is more for less...but is it worth it!?

You can't go wrong with UnitedHosting.co.uk (Ensim) or httpme.com (CPanel) It all depends on your preferences however. I don't have experience with Citadelhost, or raine-tech, so I can't comment on those.

to be honest you might not get alot, the ones I posted are pretty much regarded as the cream of the crop in reseller hosting. Im sure I left a few poeple out, but that list is from my experince only

Search around and make sure you get alot of opinions on RaineTech...from talking with him on IRC and watching what he says I don't know if I'd really trust him...

Lol nickrac, i kind of agree with you, when i talked to him on his live support, it all sounded to good , guess it's not as good as talking to him in person and staring him in the eyes with a guard dog by my side...then wonder what he'd say . Citadel is the provider for my offsite reseller account aside from the rest of the business and when I have issues, Jon is always on call. I don't ever recall hours going by before recieving a reply. He's very precise and to the point with the knowledge he replies with. All in all, from what I can see so far, they're not a bad choice at all.

I have the same experience as TC with citadelhost. Great support and all around nice people that always take care of you. I am pleased with them and I´ll recommend them to anyone, any day Last edited by Mortekai; 02-15-2004 at 06:02 AM.

of the hosts mentioned above, can anyone suggest the best host (preferably US based) that uses ENSIM Pro. United Hosting looks good, but I'd rather something w/a US accessible (non-international) phone #... Thanks!

You shouldn't have any problems calling UH from the US. Simply add +44 as the prefix and drop the 0 from the 0870

Thanks.. Originally I meant in regards to rates to call UK from the US. I have since Instant Messaged Matt Wallis and have started the process to migrate from my current vendor to him. (It's a little more then I pay now, but I think the added services and the reliabilty that everyone here seems to talk about will outweigh the cost and the extra IP's I lose.. Most notably is the SPAM filtering that they offer until such time as Ensim releases the next version. Regards!

While Citadel may be a good choice for some, they did not appear to offer ENSIM which is a must have requirement for me. Citadel appears to use WHM/cPanel instead. Regards

PS My dealings with Matt at United Hosting unitedhosting.co.uk leads me to say that if your looking for for a Reseller with ENSIM Pro then look no further then UH! You can't go wrong.. (and I have on several attemps gone worng !)

Citadelhost is WHM/cPanel. When you have a problem, they definitely help you out there, fast. My longest wait on a ticket was probably an hour... and I've submitted tickets at all times of the day, from 3AM to 6AM to 9PM... always a reply. Compared to dealing with Interland where my employer's sites used to be hosted (til I moved them to their own server), and waiting days for ticket responses and getting bounced around, I could never think of going back.
