European hosts with reselling plans?

Posted by MikeMc, 05-02-2002, 01:49 AM
Hi, everyone! Do you know any european hosts that offer reselling options? (with normal costs like 35$, bulk reselling))

UKName.net (UK) and Voxtreme.com (Irish) are European, but their servers are in the US. Are you looking for a host that has their servers in Europe as well? (and why?)

Europe = quality

When it's prime time here... everyone sleeps in US --> hard to get support --> hard to support your european customers.

Splashhost is located in the UK

In the hosting biz? I doubt there is much difference in quality. With servers in the US you get much more for less too. You just need to find a host with true 24/7 support. I've never had a problem with it (Dutch and been hosting in the US/Canada for the past 5 years). -- And oops about SplashHost They are European based as well indeed and a good company.

That's what I mean, basically. In Europe you need a more solid businessplan and investmentplan becasue of higher taxes, more regulations etc --> the companies are more stabile --> they do not consist of desperate people that just want to earn some money fast. I'm not saying this is the way for most US hostbiz, though. Last edited by Yahooo; 05-02-2002 at 07:18 AM.

Bye the way... must be hard for all dutch people now, just one month before IT starts! And both Bergkamp and Van Nistelrooy in top shape... you could have won if you qualified...

Posted by Change, 05-02-2002, 07:29 AM
I guess that is the situation, but only if you don't know WHT and/or don't do some research before you sign up with a hosting company it would be in your disadvantage // Off-topic Yeah I know. Actually most Dutch people don't even care that much, most think our current players are a bunch of arrogant spoiled ^&@#$ who lost their passion and need a kick in the ass. It's sad - the way they played the quals. Hopefully our new talent will have a different attitude. (Bergkamp is not playing for the national team anymore since about a year btw.)

That's not funny

Bergkamp retired from international football. Wasn't it Ireland that knocked Holland out ?

European Hosts with servers in the US are you best bet. European Hosts with servers in Europe, will probably be a lot more expensive. Check out Voxtreme & Splashhost, they are among the best.

I know Dennis retired... but with his current shape I'm sure the dutch manager would have convinced him to take part in the World Cup (if Holland was qualified, that is).

Yes, I'm looking for a host that has servers located in Europe. I need because of a client of mine that has this need or obsession with the European stuff. I personally find US and Australian companies more cool production "engines". European hosts seem like they suffer by a 'sclerosis'. Sometimes they remember me the attitude that some public institutes have...in poor words I would dare to call it....less friendly. (note : I'm from europe in case someone had the idea to ask).

I agree that I'll have to pay more, I mean I know that , oh me! Any suggestions about hosts that have servers located in Europe?

In that case.. I have no idea which hosts offer reselling plans in Europe. I don't believe I've ever seen one.. only 1-domain type hosting

Check out http://www.vibus.net and speak to Jonny - let him know I directed you there

Thanks but I was actually looking for Unix hosting (it seems that Vibus has only win servers for resellers). Sorry my mistake not to mention that I need Unix type of hosting.

I think (if you ask), Vibus can offer Unix based hosting too.

You betcha! Sweet revenge for that play-off in Anfield a few years ago

Hotchilli are now offering reseller accounts but they are pricey. I had my web site hosted with them for a while and their service was fine - I moved away from them because I could get a much cheaper hosting deal elsewhere.

bigytes.co.uk has a list full of euro companies that shows reseller accounts

I know this post is old but just in case more people come across it like I did, hostorange seems to be coming around these days. There reseller plan looks resonable.
