Hello Slightly off topic: On a shared hosting platfrom, why would you allow SSH access ? in my view that is a big security risk, and they could be running all manner of things. Best thing to do would be to look at what these users are running, by using TOP, then if its something you dont feel is appropriate then you can ask them to stop etc. as for limiting resources not sure how you could do that. Thanks

You can use PAM (Pluggable Authentication Module) for this purpose. This module comes with almost all distributions of Linux. You can check some tutorial from internet regarding how we can apply these settings in PAM.Usuallay these settings are applied in pam.d file. __________________ Aun Muhammad Razawww.aunraza.net

Hi, Thanks but can you tell me how to edit and if you have some documentation for this, i have googled and found that /etc/security/limits files. This file defines process resource limits for users. You can modify those options with the chuser command.so can anyone help me in this issue... p-root

Using PAM to restrict resources per user may slow what your customer is doing down to a crawl or break it completely. Have you considered transferring the customer to his own machine or a VPS? __________________H4Y Technologies LLC Check out our new picture gallery!
