ServerMatrix Packet Loss
Posted by jessfx, 04-09-2004, 09:29 AM |
I am experiencing packet loss to the sever matrix network. Some of my users are complaining to me that they are experiencing this as well.
Is anyone else experiencing this?

You're getting it too? I've had them trying to find the source, so far they have changed the network cable and blamed apf/iptables.
Ping statistics for 69.93.171.xxx:
Packets: Sent = 500, Received = 331, Lost = 169 (33% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 61ms, Maximum = 326ms, Average = 96ms
Hope they get this fixed soon, it is so bad this morning I am having problems using putty

69.93.171.170
Oddly my other server at 69.93.232.xxx doesn't and hasn't had any loss through this period. Wonder if it is an issue with the router/switch or some server is getting attacked. My problem server is on the AO22A-CAT2950T-24-1 switch.

Is anyone having the same problem as I am with my SM server:
Ping statistics for 69.93.186.*:
Packets: Sent = 100, Received = 65, Lost = 35 (35% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 78ms, Maximum = 171ms, Average = 82ms
35%?!?! I thought they only had this at BurstNET
