cPanel Errors

Posted by TheSimpleHost-Nathan, 08-20-2008, 01:01 PM
I wasn't sure to put this in these forums or the Control Panel forums, but either way, I've got a little problem! On one of our new servers, we went to put cPanel on and set it all up. It installed fine and seemed OK.. It wasn't though. Apache doesn't seem to have been installed. I tried running easy apache but got this error: I also get this errors when trying up update cPanel From that last error, you can see that i cant even get the langfile so on some bits of WHM there are missing language file entries. Anyone got any ideas on the problem & solution? I'm running CentOS 5.2 and Perl v5.8.8 Last edited by TheSimpleHost-Nathan; 08-20-2008 at 01:07 PM.

What happens when you run: /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkperlmodules Also, if it's a new cPanel install it wouldn't hurt to update a 2nd time: /scripts/upcp --force

i ran /usr/local/cpanel/bin/checkperlmodules after re-installing perl and it fixed some of the modules, I'm not running the update to see if it helps.

Just for the record, and if anyone runs into this problem in the future I did manage getting it working. I had to contact cPanel via a ticket and found out that the list of mirrors that cPanel had been configured with were bad, therefore the required Perl modules weren't being installed. Here's the message from a Tech Analyst Once it was done I ran the update script and then installed apache (as it failed before).
