I think my server has been hacked, I really need help!

Hi! My websites worked very well some days ago. I've touched nothing on my server since then and now every website I have on it is down! I have a VPS and have root access. When I restart my apache web server, my websites are working for about 3 seconds! Then it doesn't work any longer! I've talked to my host but they may find the error if their technicians look at my server but this will cost! Please if anyone knows an issue for this, would be awesome! Regards, josch

Have you checked the logs? I suggest that you get third party management, as it could not be a hack, it could be just a problem with your apache. Check the System Management Offers . Good Luck Bobby

If your sites are down I think you should just get the techs to have a look and pay them. After the problem is solved move to a different host that provides managed services maybe.

It would be difficult to diagnose the problem just based on your description. You may want to get external help from the server management companies. There is quite a number of server management companies rep in the forum and they should be around to assist you asap. A hacked server is dangerous not only to you but also to the other users on the Internet as well, seek help fast and get rid of the problems asap.

I would recommend either paying to have the techs look at your VPS or hire a server management company to take a look. I'm guessing that you are not on a managed VPS since it will cost you to have the techs look at it. Sounds like a managed VPS would be a better fit for you. Mike

If you don't know what's mattering with your server, you should ask yourself that why in first place you even have that server.. Please give us details, nobody can't solve your problem with that kind of description!! Paste some error_log here, thanks. But my bet is that your hd is full.
