Hi guys, The error logs on my web server keep growing to stupidly large sizes within a couple of weeks. when i look through the error logs it seems to be showing exactly the same line but just from diffferent Ip addresses. the line is as follows [Sun May 11 07:11:41 2008] [error] [client ###.###.###.###] File does not exist: /var/www/phpmyadmin/tracker i`ve googled for this but there is no mention anywhere about it.

It's possible to stop Apache logging particular entries with this sort of thing in the httpd.conf file ... setenvif Request_URI "/var/www/phpmyadmin/tracker" no_log CustomLog logs/access_log "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-agent}i\"" env=!no_log Matt

Is the error i`m getting likely to be causing problems though?

I don't think so - it's just a bot scanning for vulnerable websites.

Find out where is /var/www/phpmyadmin/tracker looked up? Check the webpages and see why it is calling if it is not needed.

Ya mean the pages I have hosted on the box? I didnt think about that lol. As far as i`m aware there shouldnt any calls to it at all but i`ll have a look through the source code.
