Now that's a wise decision you made! This is the time you will thank yourself and realize the value of backups. Good Luck!

Good thing you have one. Now, time to move because it seems it is not coming back as it is down until now....

I have not seen any other post about them shutting down or others having issues. Good thing you have a backup. Just locate another great host here on WHT and get back up and running. Great lesson here Make your own backups

Their customer portal seems to be working fine from my end, so probably they have some technical issues.

Were you able to get in touch with them regarding this outage and the reason behind it ? I met some of their staff at HostingCon last week and seems to be a good company.

They still not replied any of my Emails. just waiting for their reply.

From my sources I got to know that it was/is a DDoS attack.

Posted by ntjedge, 11-26-2016, 08:15 AM
Yes it was. I have a reseller service from another service provider who's on Cyfuture DC (go4hosting's parent) and from what I have been told it was a DDoS attack (23+ Gbps). Services were down for close to 48 hrs and currently they are back to normal. Luckily for me, my provider had a backup at an another location due to which our sites were restored with just a nameserver IP change. Pretty sure it was the same that affected go4hosting customers too

its always a good choice for having a provider with DDoS protection at least, it makes it harder for your services going offline, but.... for a 23+ Gbps, its really..... a kick ass attack

True, but i don't think there are any decent Indian providers who offer DDoS protection... Atleast I haven't come across any. Sent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk

Did you receive any explanation from them for the outage?

Posted by Anky_B, 12-01-2016, 10:25 AM
Nope... i just checked, my ticket is still open... no reply... also i shifted my server...

Hope you have a good experience with the new provider. Do update this thread whenever you receive an update from them.

Well this is weird, no update for such a long time?

From the 26th to today and still no response? even after you migrated elsewhere? That won't help their response time stats Seriously, good luck with your new provider.
