Security for web hosting

Hi I have a server is running windows 2003 enterpirse as WEB HOSTING. It don'nt configure to become Domain Controller. Anyone advise me that Should I do if this server will attached by hacker, virus or OS error,damage?

Hi, Make sure your server is patched with the latest security updates, and your anti-virus is up to date, disable or uninstall any unecessary services, make sure your data is backe dup and your firewal only had the required ports open to the destination

Also 1 thing which is very important... Remove " Everyone & USERS " permissions on the root of each Local drive.

Hi, Setting up the server as a domain controller opens up lot of other services and ports which may increase the attack surface. If you have no plans to setup the servers in an Active Directory enviornment, there is no need to set it up as a Domain Controller. For better security, keep the number of services running on the server at the lowest, setup a perimeter and application layer firewall and do not forget a real time AV.
