My Earnings Are Low Shall I Still Have to move on VPS?

Hi again Currently I am running a shared linux hosting , my website is a paysite and provides videos/images streaming and downloading to only paid members. But they are just few. Only 1 or 2 paid user log into site everyday and I dont think they can much more activity for downloading and streaming. Therefore my earnings are low. So, dedicated hosting would be much more pricy for me. But also vps is expensive, i guess. I currently need more space, not a traffic/bandwitdh. Because I am plannning to upload more than 1000 video files into it. But I cant afford a dedicated hosting. So, i guess unlimited shared hosting is enough for now. If our paid members grow and we get much more money and premium members traffic, I would be move on vps or dedicated. So, what do you think about it? The planned video sizes are variety (ranging from 500mb to 1.5 GB). But they are not HD. Their quality are mostly low sized. Could shared hosting handle all of the videos files for streaming and downloading for few members at the starting point? Or should I have to move on vps firstly? But I have to admit that I cannot afford for vps for now. Also cdn video hostings are as expensive as vps ones... Note: Sorry about my non native english.

Have you tried free video hosting websites? Openload or something like that, and embedding vids on your website? I believe that could be a solution to save you money.

I tried openload but they shows too many popups in their videos so thats not a good business for paid members. Why would people pay for videos with too many ads in them? Also they delete files for inactivity...

Check their AUP and TOS very carefully before you try that. Unlimited hosts aren't likely to accept sites which are primarily for video downloads.

Video streaming is mostly forbidden on shared hosting and having even a few users streaming videos at the same time can lead to having your account suspended for overuse of the system resources. If dedicated servers are too expensive and VPS's don't have enough storage, you can try semi-dedicated servers. They are a bit like shared hosting, but a lot more resources available to you. Still, ask any potential provider if they will allow streaming from their servers.

What is your monthly budget for the project? You could look into budget storage VPS providers on WHT.

Does Godaddy or any other reliable hosts provides semi-dedicated hosting with cheap prices?

Now, I pay 10$ /monthly for the site. But I can pay another 20$/monthly.

You can fins good priced VPS for this many with big storage, but when you will get many new members you have to increase traffic and it is not so cheap.

With that budget, I do not think VPS is for you considering you need managed. Just look for shared hosting with high storage. Do not go for unlimited space.
