Fast Reliable Managed VPS UK / Europe

Hi I am looking for a fast, reliable, good provider. I currently have an account with eurovps, these guys came highly recommended, and to be fair they have been good, great reliability, fast servers, great, but they seem to be changing, and I have noticed the support has not been as good as it was, and they now advertise their plans as unmanaged, with management as an add on.. so, who would be a good alternative for me to look at.. Thanks Tony

It sounds like you may be grandfathered into their managed plans then. I doubt their support is changing, seems they are just changing things on the front end of how they want to provide and change for their services. Have you tried reaching out to their management asking about their degrading service? They may have a reason for it?

Hi John, I raised this issue, and was told that I still have support, but I really want to start looking at alternatives just in case, or maybe even too run alongside..

How much time they take to response you?

Tony how often do you use your support from your company? You said you have some changes in their support? I would recommend you : - try to find out what happened to the company's support team - maybe you need to inform your host regarding your intention so they might reconsider their support options - you can always to hire additional managment for your VPS from the third parties (taking into account you are satisfied with the server and other stuff at the moment).

Nobody's perfect but of course, provider needs to charge something to pay their staff, hardware, etc.... There is no free in this world.

I'm not looking for free, I pay a good price for what I get, they are not cheap..

I'm not looking to move my sites away from these guys, I am looking to test another provider, a company that offers a similar (high) standard as these guys..

Tony, What are your requirements in terms of space, ram & bandwidth? Do you require cPanel/WHM & what is your monthly budget. - Daniel

Nothing their has changed. I've had managed plans for 10 years now. Yeah, 10, a decade, not a typo. Support is as excellent now as it was in 2006.

How much are you going to pay for hosting services?

Can you give more details about your requirements? What do you want to host on the VPS (which software/frameworks are your sites/applications using, and what are the technical requirements: PHP, MySQL, Ruby, Python, Java, .NET etc), and what other specifications are important to you? E.g. do you prefer SSD, do you need a large amount of storage space, backups? What are your expectations about server management? Is it fully monitored with proactive incident resolution, or do you just want to be able to ask support for help when you need it and without additional charges? What about security patching (OS and provided software); should it be handled by the provider, will you do it, or will you ask the provider whenever a patch is needed? Server management varies significantly, so you need to set very clear requirements for this to get useful recommendations. What's good for one customer may be unacceptable for another. Finally, what's your budget to make this happen?

It sounds like OP doesn't even have an issue with them. If it isn't broke then don't fix it comes to mind.
