Now EZPZ is stealing my Clients MONEY - STAY AWAY!!

Posted by ChicksHateMe, 05-30-2014, 07:06 PM
I have a client who submitted to have the account closed through a ticket. They removed any credit card info from the account so it COULD NOT BE CHARGED. I know, I helped them. The Credit card info was not showing in the admin panel. They must have looked back in the records and STILL charged it from records. DO NOT TRUST EZPZ!!!! Be sure to call your Credit Card company and BLOCK EZPZ Charges as you go out the door!!!!! JERKS!!!! Now I have to cover the prices because I FOOLISHLY recommended EZPZ a year ago.

I stopped posting in the conversations about how terrible the servers and service has become over the last year. I Have a reseller account and did my research, so I thought.... Plans we to move my clients away as I haven't been healthy enough to keep this going. I wanted them to have their own account with a trustworthy and reliable Host. EZPZ is NOT the place, on both accounts. RUN. RUN FAST!!!!

As I said, I stopped posting about their terrible services because; 1. They were so bad, most others were repeating what I already said. 2. It was so bad, and the support answers were terrible, it wasn't worth staying. 3. I figured, I was moving on, leave it alone. But to pull this, I am P.O.'d NOW, and I will share this BS they are Pulling. I hope to have me and ANYONE I know off their services by the end of the week. Be sure to cancel through them AND your Funding source before they put it to you one last time as you leave.

You wouldn't be able to ask EZPZ to do a refund of the charge and explain specifically your scenario? I'd expect an ethical company to do the refund given your circumstances

Did you attempt to contact them and explain the issue?

Posted by JixHost, 05-30-2014, 09:47 PM
Have you contacted ezpz regarding the charge?

Posted by Lanfr, 05-31-2014, 11:17 AM
I think if you contact Dan, he solves the problem, maybe you could contact them before posting here in the forum?

Not exactly sure how this is "stealing clients money". . . Last edited by AcclaimedHost Alan; 05-31-2014 at 12:00 PM.

In all fairness they do not store credit card information. They use a 3rd party merchant. I'm pretty sure that tokens have to be created and accepted by the client or something like that.. (Or I could be wrong, but I know they don't store the details).

I am sure if you explian to dan what has happen he will and try to reslove this for you, have you even submitted a support ticket? and told them this has happen.

Yeas we never hear that type about EZPZ. Make a ticket or contact "DAN" will be solved and refund.

I'm sure they would help you out by contacting them about this and give them an explanation of what happened. Best if you can get reach of Dan the owner.

Did you actually cancel the account accordingly with the terms set out by EZPZ or did you just submit a ticket on the hopes it would be cancelled anyway? Don't they have the "Cancellation Link" enabled/available within WHMCS so you can simply submit a request to them at anytime?

Posted by NameVictor, 05-31-2014, 05:22 PM
Yes they do. It sounds like the OP (or his client), did not do that and just submitted a ticket.

Posted by Ninjapanther Hosting, 05-31-2014, 05:47 PM
Yes you just send a cancellation request via whmcs and its all done. Not submit a ticket to billing.

OK, I feel bad I lost it here, but I have had a tough year with EZPZ. Not at all what I expected. It was a rough week with hosts altogether, and I completely lost it. It was the last straw so they say. Not only did I have this nicer client wondering why he was charged by EZPZ when I told him I had moved him to a better Host less than a week ago, but I had other issues. I am also dealing with someone asking for help because another host is holding a companies domain name hostage because they no longer want to have them host the site. Long story, and I can't say more now because of the legal battle that may involve lawyers, attorney generals and the FBI. May even make the news. But that's all I can say on that for now. SO, the weight of that, plus the stress EZPZ has put me through over the last year finally did me in. I was getting chest pains, skipped heart beats.... I had to get away and go to bed. I've taken my deep breath..... I am sorry I did such a rant. This incident in certain came about because I did move the client. I did submit a ticket to close the account to billing. I did think that would be enough because I did not know about the cancellation request, which was not the easiest to find. I had never had to do it before. Now I know. It was the clients account, and I was helping him get out of there. I actually did the Ticket, and when I looked at the ticked yesterday, there was a reply as to how to do a "Proper" cancellation. I still don't see why they couldn't have just done it themselves as well, but anyway. The client was getting the copies of the ticket replies in the emails. Every time he did, he would forward it to me. Now, either he did not get the reply that told us how to "properly" cancel the service, or he did not forward it to me. Of course I jumped to the conclusion that EZPZ's mail servers just happened to miss sending that one out. That ticked me off because it brought back some anger I had at the MANY emails I missed getting that people had sent to me. See, I had used MY domain name for my main emails for years, without issue. The week I moved to EZPZ I was getting bouncebacks saying my mail was not getting to my customers. I also ended up losing a customer over an argument about them not communicating with me. It turned out they, and others, were sending me mail that never got to me. I ended up having to set up a gmail account. I never thought that would be more reliable than one I was paying for. And, it looked less professional than my own domain name in it. OK, back to the issue of the thread. Maybe he got the email to properly close the account, maybe he didn't. It was all I could take that day. I have gone in and done the proper request. It was accepted. But the fact remains, I looked at for his CC info to be sure it was deleted. I also looked for any setting about recurring charges. There were none I could find to disable the ability. They HAD to have his credit card on file, and I DO NOT LIKE THAT. The clients card was charged on the 30th, the renewal date was the 30th. I submitted and got an approved cancellation notice on the 30th. We'll see if they actually refund the money, or will it mean more work for me and my client to deal with the Credit Card company. The ticket requesting the cancellation was done well in advance to avoid these last minute problems.Way too much stress for me. What a headache.... I actually called MY Credit Card company and had to cancel my card to be sure it was not charged when my time comes around. I will also go through the proper cancellations, now that I know where to find it. EZPZ has NOT made my life easy, that's for sure. I plan on being out of there as soon as Monday if all goes well. Then, the few clients, who trusted my decision to go with them, I have to go through the same cancellation process with them, and explain that EZPZ has thier CC infomation gawd knows where, and we need to try to block charges we do not approve, or actually they too will have to cancel their cards. I feel like a jerk. Not for ragging on EZPZ. They have not made life easy. But for what I have put my few clients through, and will be putting them through as well as for ALL THE TIME I have wasted with this Company. I spent more to go with EZPZ that I did before them. I thought I would get what I paid for. Plus, I thought I would benefit from their affiliate program. It was NOT WORTH IT!!! I was one sale away from collecting on my affiliate $$$. It's not worth it. I will be paying 3x as much where I move to, and this place has had stellar reviews for a long time. I can handle one catastrophe, if it happens, but it's been too many within a year at EZPZ. I am not well enough to deal with the stress they've added to my life. Sorry I lost it here, but I had to let it out. I've seen many complaining about EZPZ, so it's not just me. I'm happy for the ones that it is working for. Sorry again for my ranting. I feel stupid more than anything. I feel I let people who trusted my decisions down too. I hate that I lost their trust in me, so I am going to try to make up for it by moving them all to a better place, on my dime, even before their plans expire. I feel I owe them. But when I looked at EZPZ, and did my DD over a year ago, things looked bright. Now, not so much.... Sorry again. I will try not to let loose in here anymore. I want to stop, forget it and move on now... Last edited by ChicksHateMe; 05-31-2014 at 06:38 PM.

We all "loose it" now and again. Sometimes it does you good to get it off your chest. A lot of hosts (myself included), will not accept cancellation requests via ticket, because there is a risk that someone else could have submitted the ticket/email to get your site taken down.

Some hosts I have used in the past hide the cancellation button and make you submit a ticket so it really depends on your host. They aren't clever enough to know that if you know the url you can just visit that and do it that way.

EZPZ do have a cancellation button in the clients area and in there TOS they ask you to use there cancellation button to cancel your services as I have used it to cancel services with them in the past.
