Opinions/comments Innohosting & Site5

Going to move from my current host (uses cPanel/WHM) and I have narrowed it down to either Site5 or Innohost. Myself and all my clients are in Texas. Innohost would be 26.95 and Site5 would be 23.95 as I don't need a lot of resources. Both sites give me an IP I can use for my reseller account that all my clients get which is important to me. That way my clients mail wont suffer every time someone else's client is a spammer. If I understand that correct (I do right)? None of the sites I host are hugely busy, most of them use MySQL so that is important. I have 12 accounts I will need moved. They are both very similar in offerings, I would appreciate hearing any items of note any of you may know between them. In the end I just want fast reliable web/MySQL/mail and support.

HI Typically the IP will be for your websites. the MailIP usually is the same server side. I know this can be changed manually on a per domain basis by the host.

I used Inno a few years back and the service was excellent at that time (uptime was good and servers were not overloaded). I haven't had any direct experience with Site5. An advanced search here on WHT might help as well.

I don't recommend Site5. I don't know how is Innohosting service. But the reviews mostly positive.

Thanks for the feedback. I did a search while looking at hosts and while I did not find as much about site5 as innohost I did not find any negative. Innohost said I can have it configured as mail IP and I just emailed site5 asking the same. @dhcart can you give any explanation as to why you would not recommend them?

As an update Site5 will not allow you to use the reseller IP as the mail IP for that account.

Did they state why? Maybe they are rotating IP's for outgoing emails like EZPZ recently started doing?

We had a reseller hosting on them for years ago. We moved our many customers' hostings to another hosting provider because of many downtime and very slow and poor support(their each email reply was taking 24 hours and they did not understand or fix the problems). I don't know how their service now. But I no longer recommend them. Because we lost many customers because of similar providers.

I prefer Inno. While checking the Reviews Inno stays ahead and I have found that they have announced a promotional offer as well. ask them may be.

I have been with InnoHosting for a couple of years now and I can recommend them without hesitation. They have Great support whenever I needed it(fast response, real answers and solutions).
