Hi All i am new to the reseller business. I read on WHT that it is best practice to use 1 provider for domain and the other for hosting. For which i have decided to go for resellerclub and resellerspanel respectively. But i am not able to figure out how to go about establishing this. I have a domain from resellerclub with free privacy protection and dns. Now with this i want to setup my business such that i can sell domains from resellerclub and hosting packages from resellerspanel. Could someone guide me as to how do i go about establishing this by using the private DNS that came with the domain name. Thank you in advance.

Hi GigaPros I am not sure now that other thread has been closed. I am new here i might have posted it there as well. Anyway i need help with the above in setting up my site. Can you please help me with the same.

Of course this community is always here to help. But, before asking us, have you asked your service providers for help? Since you are a paid customer for them, I am sure that they will guide you precisely about how to get started. Just ask and see.

Sure GigaPros, I have spoken to both resellerclub and resellerpanel. They only said that i cannot sell hosting service from resellerpanel using the private dns provided by resellerclub and the same goes to resellerclub as well.

while I dont agree with it being a bad thing to have the same domain and hosting provider - some of the reasons are really vague like - what if the company shuts down and you are left with nothing - with big players that should never be a problem. Even if they do shut-down you will always be given enough time to take a backup and move your domains. No big company shuts shop overnight. What you want to do will be easier if you are using a billing system software like WHMCS - I'm assuming you will get a VPS or a reseller hosting package - you can create and sell the hosting packages you create through WHMCS and they have all the major domain API integrated

Hi LD_we thank you for your input. As I have also hear on the forums that sometimes there are issue with FTP on resellerclub. As i had already mentioned i am new to all this. So if i use WHMCS will i be able to also use the branded DNS that i got from resellerclub when i sell hosting services from resellerspanel? Please advice.

Personally if your wanting to setup your self a hosting company and your new to it grab yourself a VPS a fully managed vps from somewhere what has good support and get them to install cpanel on it for you. Then you could sell resellers and shared hosting.

Logicalhosting - As of now I think i will start with resellerclub and resellerspanel. As i am not going to do this full time and do not have the required budget to dedicate as well. Anyway could you be able to know if i would be able to use the Private DNS provided by resellerclub for hosting packages sold from resellerspanel? Please advice.

Hello, I'm not sure iv never used resellerclub. Could you explain to me in more detail what your trying to do?

You may point your private nameservers to Resellerspanel nameservers. Their nameservers should be anonymous already. I recommend contact Resellerspanel to confirm if they support private nameservers. As they provide reseller hosting service, private nameservers is an essential feature IMO.
