Great service from rack911.com

Hello all, I simply want to thank Steve from Rack911.com. He has been working 1+ hour on our server, and even did more than what we actually requested him, for the same quote. Great service, very reliable, fast. I recommend his services if you have any problem with your server.

He helped me with 3 servers on Sunday, a pretty exploited server of a client, my qmail and directadmin server. All are running perfect, till now the exploited server is still rooted free as ever. I cant count how many servers he had done for me already, top notch service, top notch knowledge.

I'm a total newbie, but Steve does great work... He helped me find a good deal on a dedicated server.... Got my new server hardened quickly... even tangled with some weird customizations.... and has put up with a whole lot of my frantic newbie ignorance.... The only problem is... he doesn't let you pay him! I know he doesn't want to accept money until he feels the job is done, but he's already done a lot on my system and I want to make sure he gets paid for all the stuff he's already done... I know you're not in this for the cash, but please.... steve... take my money! :-) (Or at least let me buy you a beer sometime.... ) Thanks for all your work so far, Albert www.ithou.org

I'd like to be getting some of his services at Rack911, but haven't been able to get him for about 2 weeks now. Don't know what's up.

Looks interesting. I don't really like how there's only one email address on the contact page, and its limited to particular hours. Other than that, it looks like a great service. I'll look into their services...

He disappeared about two weeks ago from IM aswell, still seems to be around though. He's a good guy don't get me wrong, his mysterious disappearing acts are just a bit of an issue for those that need his support on a day to day basis. Dan

That doesn't sound too fun.

Yeah folks - I'll also take a look overthere. We've been looking into getting an independant manager for awhile now.

I had a good experience for the first month, then it was all downhill for the next 2 months. My tickets would sit open for days then suddenly just be close with no resolution and the work was not done. Then I opened a ticket and sent an email asking why they were just being closed, I never got a response. The only good thing was that they refunded my money when I asked if they could. Note that the money was refunded without a simple response or anything. It wasn't a good experience and I would have a hard time even suggesting that someone use their service.

Crazyfish, You also forgot to mention we refunded payment for a month without you asking because we felt we were not doing the job we should have been.

Posted by crazyfish, 08-23-2006, 10:34 AM
Yes, I did forget to mention that. Thats still no excuse for not answering tickets/questions for a month.

I am aware but if you are going to tell a story tell the whole story.

I was really only discussing the 1st and 3rd month, since nothing really took place during the 2nd month.
