compare version number using command (rhel)

Is there any easy way to compare version number in redhat? For debian we could use dpkg, but whats the equivalent for rhel if there is even one? Example:

I was referring to the version of the rpm package rather than the OS version like below.

YUPAPA You should consider installing rpmdevtools on the server. It will help you in comparing the versions. For example, do you wish to compare the installed version and latest available version ?
