DKIM Verification

Posted by timeshost, 02-18-2015, 04:36 AM
I just wanted to check how do you guys handle the incoming mails from DKIM unverified domains? Do you allow cPanel / Exim to accept those mails or simply discards them. The setting I have used in cPanel is --> "Allow DKIM verification for incoming messages" is disabled And the clients are getting bounced mails like below: #5.0.0 smtp;550-DKIM: encountered the following problem validating email.office.com: 550 signature_incorrect>' #5.0.0 smtp;550-DKIM: encountered the following problem validating google.com: 550 signature_incorrect>' > 550-DKIM: encountered the following problem validating > yahoo.com: > 550 bodyhash_mismatch > [BODY] So my question is do you allow all the incoming mails on server or you also use the setting I have used for incoming mails. Thanks,

Hi, DKIM provides email authentication to allow a receiving mail server to check if the incoming mail is authentic for the sender domain. DKIM adds a cryptographic signature to every outgoing email and SPF just tells which IP are allowed to send email for the domain. Allowing DKIM verification is a good practice to avoid spam to a particular extend.
