Server Load & MySQL Connection Error?

Posted by Jamie911, 11-22-2014, 11:04 PM
I have a VPS and was hoping to get some advice from the experts About once every day or so I get an error on my website saying that it failed connecting to the MySQL database. At about these same times, it looks like the server load is spiking. MySQL shows that it's online so I'm not sure if the server load could cause issues with the database connection. This is a VPS running the latest version of cPanel. Can anyone provide me with some advice on how to check what's causing the issues connecting to MySQL and what's causing the load to spike? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can provide!
