Hi, Anybody familiar with the transfer tool getting stuck in: I have some sites that when I am using the transfer tool to transfer from my old server to new server.. It somehow gets stuck at aroun 24%.. THe site are just a few MBs.. Homedir Streaming Homedir from source server… New server is 1GB port and old is around 100Mbps port. IPs are already allowed in the firewall. Weird thing is, some other sites are transferred easily.

Have you tried packaging the account up manually and moving it to the destination server? /scripts/pkgacct username move to dest. server /scripts/restorepkg username Of course, that's not ideal but if you're looking for a quick-fix it may just do the trick. Failing that, I'd definitely open a ticket with cPanel. They will be able to diagnose/fix it faster than anyone here without server access can.

If the home directory contains lots of small files then the transfer might take a long time (some crappy WordPress plugins such as W3 Total Cache for example, create millions of small cache files slowing down the backups and cPanel transfers). Running periodically a du command in the home directory of the user on the new server will indicate if any files are still being transferred to it. If du displays always the same amount of KB, then the transfer is indeed stuck.

Hi, There could be couple of issues with this. 1. Check the temporary folder, whether it is not blocking any creation of temporary sessions files. 2. If the account is having lots of files, you may transferring the site without the homedir and then manually rsync the data, which is more faster. Transfer tool, does the same thing I suppose, but give it a try.
