REGISTER NAMESERVER ! A BIG BIG TROUBLE FOR ME

Posted by Websurfers, 01-27-2010, 10:14 AM
Hello, Plz help me i am stuck between two companies and unable to bring a site online, the scenario is this - I have a reseller account with DIRECTI, from which i registered a domain name XYZ.CO.IN (actual domain name not revealed) for one of my customer, Now this customer of mine bought a reseller hosting package from another company. Currently the domain XYZ.CO.IN is using nameservers as set by default during new registration they are - NS1.MYRESELLERSITENAME.CO.IN NS2.MYRESELLERSITENAME.CO.IN but its of no use coz domain is not going to be hosted with me. I will have to change them. WATS THE PROBLEM ------------------------- Now starts the problem, he wants to use PRIVATE NAMESERVERS for his domain XYZ.CO.IN as - NS1.XYZ.CO.IN NS2.XYZ.CO.IN So he asked the RESELLER HOSTING PROVIDER COMPANY for that, they told him that - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please register private DNS at your domain registrar using IP's below: NS1.XYZ.CO.IN > 208.101.10.33 NS2.XYZ.CO.IN > 74.53.46.114 Please allow 24-72 hours for DNS propagation. We will add new private servers to web hosting manager within next 2-4 days. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Now i am confused exactly what i need to do for registering private DNS for this customer of mine :-( Do i add two CHILD NAME SERVERS for the domain XYZ.CO.IN with values - NS1.XYZ.CO.IN > 208.101.10.33 NS2.XYZ.CO.IN > 74.53.46.114 AND update NAME SERVERS for the domain name XYZ.CO.IN itself to - NS1.XYZ.CO.IN NS2.XYZ.CO.IN Or something else is needed to be done, PLZ SENIOR MEMBERS PLZ HELP ME, IF YOU CAN GUIDE ME WHAT IS TO BE DONE HERE I WILL BE VERY GRATEFUL. REMEMBER DOMAIN REGISTRAR IS "DIRECTI". iF SOME ONE CAN TELL ME STEPS THAT NEED TO BE TAKEN ACCORDING TO "DIRECTI" CONTROL PANEL IT WILL BE VERY EASY FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND AND COMPLETE THE JOB.
