Long-Term Resller hosting?

Posted by imZenko, 01-15-2010, 02:54 PM
Hello community, I have been searching like many others for a long term reseller host but never works out. I am currently trying MediaTemple.net but their features are not working for my needs so I come here to try and find some recommendations then rather look at the "top" best reseller sites. What I am looking for: - Support, more then anything I value support over everything else. Must have Phone support unless is back up by 10hr less wait tme or email/online support. - cPanel/WHM, Linux Hosting - At least 30 domains to be hosted but interested in unlimited (long term) - Terms/Agreements, I will partially use reselling account to offer free hosting, support of download files and support of large number of images to be viewed/downloaded. As for the rest of the features I am open to limits but basic reseller features must be included like PHP, MySQL etc.. If you can give me some recommendations or suggestions that will be great, I am willing to pay more for a better service as long as the features are there and needs. Thanks!

what is your budget for long term reseller hosting

How much diskspace and bandwidth do you need?

I am located in US, so US hosting will be appreciated. Anywhere from $15-$60/mo I usually go with the lowest budget to try out the service but that don't seem to work so like people say "you pay what you get". At least 30gb space and 300gb of band, just on the average for starters. And thanks for the reply Last edited by imZenko; 01-15-2010 at 03:16 PM.

Make sure none of those are against the TOS or AUP of any new host.

I have but to be honest haven't search deep enough yet, just trying to crunch down my time that is all.

You will find loads in the offers section, along with loads of deals that can be found to bring down the cost.

You could of used HostGator but then you want to offer free hosting don't you? I think you should loook into a 30$ VPS then get cpanel for it and just offer free hosting off your very own VPS Server.

After some research I don't think VPS will work for my needs since I'm a web designer but further down the road I can see myself upgrading to VPS.

Apologies for the double post but I might just consider VPS now, to many articles on this site is hard to decide.

Well good luck then but VPS is certainly more effort.

I can recommend hostgator. I am long term user of reseller hosting at hostgator and never had serious issues. Good service and most important excellent support, at least in my case.

VPS require more efforts than reseller..

Thanks everyone for your replies I am now proud owner of a VPS over at Servint :] Yes of course VPS requires more then a reseller and I will assume dedicated servers require even more efforts, I don't like the easy way out to me is best to take the long hard road and learn something from it. Thanks for the comments.
