Posted by vpsfusion, 02-01-2010, 04:38 AM
You should ask hivelocity to see what's up.

Posted by vpsfusion, 02-01-2010, 04:40 AM
hmmm. their website seems to be down from Toronto. I guess you should call them. Something seems to be up.

Posted by lemon09, 02-01-2010, 04:42 AM
I tried to ping them from various locations - no luck :-(

Posted by ttgt, 02-01-2010, 04:43 AM
their website is down from me,i have no way to contact them.

Posted by vpsfusion, 02-01-2010, 04:44 AM
Lets hope it comes back up soon. probably a small glitch that happened out of no where which they are probably fixing right now.

Posted by lemon09, 02-01-2010, 04:46 AM
My server with them is back up online. It was rebooted without my consent. Investigating why...

Also down from Central Europe. I found their telephone number in Google's cache: 1-888-869-HOST (4678) 1-813-471-0355

I think they might have had a power outage? your server is up but their website still down. let see. update us to see why it happened.

Posted by boeki, 02-01-2010, 04:54 AM
ours is down, too. i hope it's just a minor problem. our phones are starting to be jammed by calls from clients wondering what's happening.

2 out of 7 servers back up, still routing issues to the ones that are online though(from aus). Site still down for us.

Now all of ours are down. Servers are going up and down all over the place.

Posted by vpsfusion, 02-01-2010, 05:12 AM
hmmm that could cause some hdd failurs if they are going up and down with power.

Posted by boeki, 02-01-2010, 05:13 AM
anyone able to get through to their phone lines?

Posted by jordanriane, 02-01-2010, 05:18 AM
One of mine just went down although another is still up. I'm to the point of moving to another provider later on in the day. I'm tired of their ******** up/down/up/down/up/down (especially with their main site going down too.)

Posted by boeki, 02-01-2010, 05:25 AM
hivelocity's site is up now. unfortunately, our servers are still down. bummer.

Posted by jordanriane, 02-01-2010, 05:36 AM
I guess the little mice running in their wheels haven't been running in the ones powering some of the servers

Posted by boeki, 02-01-2010, 05:40 AM
got crap reply from their techs. they told us that they were experiencing network problems. i can now connect to our boxes and here's one of them. lo and behold: top - 04:39:09 up 27 min it went down! so i guess it was a power problem. unless, of course, when the power went down the routers went down, too. hence, it's a network problem! hahaha

Posted by Amitz, 02-01-2010, 05:44 AM
They are not using mice. They switched to human ressources because of the higher redundancy. Unfortunately it is hard nowadays to find good and well performing staff for this job. http://scienceblogs.com/clock/hamster%20wheel.jpg

Hello Everyone. Please review the following link for updates if you had or still have any server with issue. http://forums.hivelocity.net/network...html#post15602

I find it somewhat interesting Steve, that no matter how much this happens and no matter how many people ask you for explanations and measures you will take in the future to avoid this scenario, you still never provide anything. You may have noticed we have pulled 6 servers from you guys already and will continue to move all our servers until we are gone. We also have clients who are removing their servers. Perhaps if you communicated, you could possibly have kept some customers.

Took four minutes for a tech to reply asking for my IP address and going on 25 minutes of no response back and a server dead for a little over an hour now.

What are you expecting, Impressive Support(TM)?

We had just got done moving five servers off of Hi-V to Softlayer @ 2:30am CST when all our Hi-V servers lost power. It was the 3rd time in January that our servers were unexpectedly rebooted and affirmation that the move was a great idea.

Something was broken in my server. Now it crashes every few hours. I have to manually boot it. Then when I report about downtime and request for explanation hivelocity staff does not take me serious. They just say they can ping the server and everything should be fine, but server crashes again and again.

Please contact me directly with your ticket #. I will personally look into and address this issue for you.

Our network is down again... Few times this week. Sick of this crap, moving elsewhere.

Steve - was this issue with the space at Sago or your place in downtown?

Posted by cdru, 02-04-2010, 10:44 AM
Sago had a similar outage at the same time so I would imagine it was there.
