Will you be watching the grass grow, while you await the first 'challenge/hicup' If you do have 'challenges' please refrain from kicking the cat. Don't forget to give us the 'lowdown' when your 'happy'.

who'd you pick?

Posted by RossMAN, 04-06-2008, 01:47 AM
Yep unfortunately you don't know what your web host is made of until they experience a crisis or two. How they handle these crises and communicate with their clients reveals a lot. I guess it also reveals if they were prepared or not. I'm still waiting for my two favorite web hosts to have that crisis.

I picked FHH - Tim @ http://www.flyhigh.net/ The personal one to one attention ( I must have kept poor Tim up all night last night ) , answering all my questions ..... no one would believe this but I'm a tough new client to have I go through a million questions ... that I already know most of the answers to but I want to know that they know the answers lol so all thats left is for my new IPs to resolve , to finish hooking up WHMCS , and my domain seller account. and to cancel my old account.

They look good! I'll put them on my shortlist when I need another reseller plan! Thanks!

getting me and my million questions is a crisis LMAO I have found over the years if they ( what ever host ) get testy with my questions( during set-up ) then if a crisis was to hit they would freak out. During set-up Im not an easy client after you hardly hear from me unless there is something wrong.

WOW ... for me ( and I know thats not for everyone ) all my hosted sites are resolving to the new IPs except for one....

Well, hopefully, we`ll be able to handle all your needs

Thats my hope too .... the e107 script on one of my accounts is pitching fits.... I have a mob of unhappy ladies after me lol I'm told a fix is in the works.... so Ill be glad when thats done

Posted by DATARTIM, 04-06-2008, 03:30 PM
That should have all been fixed, please let me know if it hasn't been. Just a case of a bad db transfer and then some files deeep in the system were wrongly chmod'd for some reason.

I signed up with flyhigh.net yesterday and Tim is the best; he moved all my 27 sites within a few hours and he had to do it manually too. Before I signed up I wrote to sales with my questions and Tim replied within a few minutes. (If a moderator wants my domain I will PM it to you.) For those of you reading my old posts I do have more than one reseller account at more than one hosting provider and I have been doing reseller hosting since May 2002 Last edited by Dori1975; 05-06-2008 at 03:48 PM. I've been looking at doing some reselling myself. I mostly have stayed on the colo market for years, but my infastructure is based more around developers, game servers, and some webhosting. So I've been looking at reseller plans. Looks like I'll have to add FHH to my list to look into!

They have a 25% off coupon for reseller hosting; look in their forum for the code!
