Hi Hoping someone here can help. (posted on the solusvm forum also, but no reply) I have got IVP6 working on KVM but cannot get it to work on Xen I have an IPV6 address on the xen node, but non of the DomU's can access the internet via ipv6. Can anyone guide me through what I need to check. the node is Centos 5.x 64bit Thanks in advance Andrew

from my exipirience you need to enable the IPv6 on server first, need to modify the following files: /etc/sysconfig/network /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 /etc/sysctl.conf

Hi That bit is done, already. The problem is with the DomU's I suspect its to do with the peth0 / vif's interfaces...but dont know how to fix it.

Upon searching, I found that XEN 6.1 (current version) doesn’t support IPv6 in dom0. So you will have to manually configure networking parameters in dom0. You can refer steps mentioned in following URL for the exact configuration: http://kb.softescu.ro/server-adminis...dom0-and-domu/

OK. that's fine. Can you please make sure that the following line is disabled in /etc/sysctl.conf? net.ipv6.conf.all.forwarding=1 It's necessary for working IPv6 setup. In the meantime, also make sure that you have set up correct settings for subnet and gateway.

Same result... I can ping from the Dom0 but not DomU's

looks like a re install to kvm then...

By the way, do you see any error message while you try to restart networking service on DomU's?

Nope. no error at all.
