Should I put Windows OS in a raid 1 and storage in a raid 10 or just make a single array and make a raid 10? What are your thoughts? Plesk Panel SmarterMail

I would always recommend, when possible, to separate your OS disk from your storage disk. I would go with 4 disks in two separate RAID 1 arrays.

Raid-10 is a lot more faster if you really need speed.

In a RAID-10 array you will have faster read I/O (essentially a RAID-0 and marginally slower write performance than simply a RAID-1. Reaching the best performance will depend on the needs you are looking to fulfill.

If you really need faster performance then choose to set one single arry for RAID 10. It will give you benefit of both RAID 0 of stripping and RAID 1 mirroring. It provides security by mirroring all data on a secondary set of disks while using striping across each set of disks to speed up data transfers.
