ResellerZoom: Account suspension policy

Posted by LightTPD, 04-10-2007, 10:14 PM
I asked RZ what would happen if one of my web site were using too many resources, and they said they would suspend the reseller account. I found it strange to suspend the whole reseller account instead of just the end user account. Is it really what happens? But then, do they tell you which end-user account was using too many resources?

Unfortunately, only the provider could tell you with any confidence what their suspension policy would be. I would, however, be very surprised if resource abuse by a single domain would see the entire reseller account suspended. That just doesn't make sense at all. Simon

What is the ticket number where this was mentioned? We would never suspend the whole reseller account.

Consider this cleared: if hzKiet says they woudnever suspend the whole reseller account than that is official policy at RZ.

There is a misunderstanding and I can see why. Limits are based on each account, not the reseller account. Your question asked what happens if you reached the limit and our response was it would be disabled and by that we meant the individual account, not reseller account. There are a number of ways to do so including killing the process, disabling the script, or disabling web access.

nice to see a reseller handle this type of issue in a way to minimize impact on the reseller. Kudos to RZ.
