ResellerZoom Billing Software

Posted by ajstocco, 04-05-2007, 11:45 AM
Hi Forum, I've signed up with ResellerZoom and I don't know how to decide between WHM or ClientExec. Here's what I'm looking for: Automated new customer sign up / ordering - even anonymous usersAutomated monthly and/or annual billing - I don't want clients to have to remember to pay meWorks with eNom API - Not sure if this makes any difference. Can somebody point me in the right direction? Thank You!

Modernbill far surpasses both but if forced to choose between the two I'd go with ClientExec. Alberto has a good product there and maintains a decent line of communication with his users for support.

Most of the billing softwares already support the features that you need. For example: AWBS, WHMCS, Modernbill, Whois.Cart(), Agileco, Clientexec...

When you said WHM, I assume you meant WHMCS (as WHM is the panel that goes along with cPanel for managing the technical side, not billing). Personally I would choose WHMCS as I'm currently using it and I am very happy with it. I have tried ClientExec in the past, and it isn't too bad either, but I do like WHMCS more than ClientExec, but I would recommend trying the demo's at each product's website and see which you like more!

RZ offer free WHMAP or CE, i vote to CE between this two. WHMCS is better, but no free at this moment..................

Hello, WHMCS is better but RZ not offering it you can test it by 15 day free trial from script site http://www.whmcs.com/freetrial.php . Thanks,

If you're choices are between clientexec and WHM, then I'd highly recommend clientexec. The interface for both admin and clients is far more user-friendly.

After careful consideration, I've decided to try WHM AutoPilot. Thanks everybody!

Did you even try WHMCS? or CE? I would just test out the demo of both. But anyways good luck with your new billing system!!

Anybody know of a good tutorial for getting started in WHM AP? and I mean the basics!

ClientExec would be the option I recommend. It has those 3 main things you need and runs just great. They are currently working on v3 and it's doing great!

To all of you who recommended ClientExec: I should have listened and now I'm switching from WHMAP to ClientExec.

Can i ask why did you change your system so soon? and what do you like more about CE then you did with WHMAP?

I'm a complete newbie and have never used any billing software before. Or setup a hosting reseller account. This is all new to me. Basically, I had no idea what I was doing or where to start. I asked for a manual or tutorials for version 3 and there is nothing available. (There are tutorial videos for version 2, but I had installed version 3. Yes, I watched ALL of the V2 videos. Some helped and some did not apply to V3.) It was suggested that I ask questions in the WHMAP forum to find out how to do simple tasks. Waiting until the next day for a forum response? That's not a good enough solution for me. I want to know every single option available and I prefer something I can read or study myself in order to get going and only ask forums/tech support when I get stuck. What I did find out WHMAP is that the tech support (Brandee, in certain) is very good and extremely fast. I had a problem during my install and the tech support went in to have a look. It was fixed in about an hour -- I didn't even ask them to fix it. The point to this rambling is that, in MY OPINION (as a total beginner), WHMAP was difficult to learn and I believe it's more suited for experienced users. I'm hoping that ClientExec will be easier for me.
