Which reliable reseller you would choose and why?

With the maximum budget of 45$/month which reseller you would choose for cPanel/WHM reseller with 10GB storage and +/- 100GB transfer? And why would you choose that? HostGator ResellerZoom Liquidweb Sonet7 Idologic HostDime

Hands down - neither. I would recommend checking Jaguarpc.com. I have been with them for almost 2 years and previously have moved every 6 mos. They have been reliable and even with problems, have been quick to resolve. Their tickets don't go hours untouched - I've seen minutes depending on the criticality of it. You are looking at $45 / mo as your budget. For $40, you get 30/300 as your reseller package. And if you only need the 10/100, then go with their plan of about 12/125 for abotu $20 / mo. Give them a shot! They offer 30 day guar.

Similar to qwer2007, there is no one-singal answer. I moved through a few Resslers and am now using FASTNEXT.com ... A few glitches but very-fast on the support side. Just test a few, using a 1 month trial period, and select the one best suited for u.

I don't know much about Hostdime and I have no experience with JaguarPC but all the others on your list are very good.

Depends completely on what site(s) you're planning to host. Are you planning to host several of your own sites or are you planning to become a web host of your own?

I would chooze ResellerZoom Failover plans. If you want more resources then HostGator. I have no experience with the other hosts regarding reseller hosting. I had contacted Sonet7 Sales department and informed me they do not use raid... LW for VPS is pretty good...

Do a search on each of them for reviews if you haven't already. Proper research will save you plenty of time and headaches in the future. What depends on the kind of web sites the OP plans to host? Perhaps you can share with us or the mods the web site you host with them for verification purposes.

To be honest, everyone is going to have a difference of opinion in a single forum and I do not think that one thread will help you with this decision. Try doing some contact sessions with each of these hosts and see how you like the feel you get from them (for some people first impressions from a host is key). Also as Ali stated there is much to be gained by doing some research by looking up reviews and reading through their websites (including their Terms of Service). Keep a watchful eye and mark your selection on possibly a points system . Good Luck!

Nnyan, do you have experience with the other hosts on the list? Thanks, Lois

We have verification that yankeebobo has a site hosted with Jaguarpc.com via the email address for his WHT account. Lois

Hostnine.com is an awesome reseller that I feel should have some mention in this thread. Their service is by far some of the best online. 24/7 live chat and telephone support along with many great features like Free MB lic and Sitebuilder for your clients. Have a look at them. If I need to verify my domain, please contact me mod.

HostGator, because I used to host my personal site with them, and I was very pleased.

Take a look at kualo then research them (there's a reason you don't see a bunch of complaints). Kualo is a top notch reseller with servers in US and UK. I've been with them several years. Few tickets have ever taken more than 15 minutes to get answered and usually it's even sooner than that. They have people available 24 x 7. They aren't always the absolute cheapest but they have awesome support and are worth every penny. They can help migrate you and they have reseller, VPS and dedicated solutions should you need to grow and stay in house.

writespeak Whenever I need to find a new host (which thankfully has not been that often over the years) I start my research and attempt to narrow my list down to a handful of providers with good reps. I then get accounts with all of them for at least 3 months (unless they turn out to be really bad and I cancel when I've had enough) so I can see how quickly the create accounts, transfer files, answer questions and such. My basic process is to replicate my websites on the various hosts and see what works and what doesn't. Now I haven't always had the luxury of doing that process, I've had one host become problematic very quickly. But as long as everything is working fine with minimal downtime and good support I stay with my host. But eventually I was outgrowing the resources of my Bluewho account and it seemed too pricey to me to move up to where the resources would match my need. So I began the process. At that time I took out accounts with Sonet7, Dotable, ResellerZoom, Site5, Liquidweb and Hostgator. At the end of it all everyone had a few dings against them but nothing major or deal breaking (except Site5 had increasing number of complaints). Overall they were all very good and I ended up picking one out of a hat (sort of a hat). Currently I'm with Dotable. During this transition I probably would have stayed with Bluewho despite the fact that there was an unusual surge in server issues since they notified me of some impending resource upgrades. Unfortunately they kept telling me they were coming but it never arrived so I had to leave. It was some time after this that they doubled the resources on their accounts. Anyway thats how I got to know some of those hosts. Sorry for the long winded explaination. Last edited by Nnyan; 02-16-2007 at 12:53 AM.

Hey !!!! do not apologuise!!! that was an awsome review, actually I think you should elaborate even further, please?????? I am about to make a contract with 200 clients for hosting service, I do not expect too much traffic nor space, but who knows? which do you recommend? I am from 20 to 50 dollars a month, please

I would have to go through my old notes to remember more details but most of my research was done by just searching here. Spend some time reading some reviews and you'll quickly come up with your own list. I recommend writing down some of the features you absolutely need and use that as a base. Now when you say 200 clients do they just need 200 websites (running for example Wordpress) or do you need to have 200 host accounts with their own CPanel? In my eyes these are two totally different situations which can change your needs. Your situation may be that you do not need a reseller account if your clients do not need access to a CPanel and your resources needs are pretty modest. You'll need to get a realistic grip on what your actual resource use is going to be so you don't get any nasty surprises down the road. But based on what your price range I think HostGator's Swamp plan (200GB Disk/2000GB Band) would be a decent fit for you. It would limit each account to 1GB of Disk and 10GB of bandwidth but its doable. Last edited by Nnyan; 02-16-2007 at 05:56 PM.
