Former Adivity client - Looking for new hosting co.

Hi Everyone, As some of you might know, Adivity (adivity.com, owned by Marque I guess) is shutting their server down for good in less than 24hrs. I am now looking for a new hosting company and thought you guys might be able to help me find the best solution. Here is the scenario I currently have the following reseller account with Adivity: 20Gb Space 200 GB Bandwidth Unlimited domains Unlimited MYSQL databases WHM Admin Individual CPanel for each account Here is what I have on the server right now: 5 small, not really traffic-heavy sites a couple of MySQL databases a couple of email accounts for each site Most of the stuff I do is php/mysql/flash based I am a flash/web designer and developer and offer some of my clients hosting through this account instead of asking them to get their own hosting. At this point I am not sure if I want a reseller account like I have right now or an economical/cost effective account for a Virtual Server with root acess where I can try stuff I do and learn along the way. I have never used this service but I would love to have the oportunity to learn and experiment with it on my own VPS. I appreciate any honest suggestions or pointers in this matter from you guys. Thank you, Sebastian

I am sorry to hear about your experience with adivity and I hope you find a host that fits your needs. From my personal experience I would suggest choosing www.hostnine.com they offer great support and service. Also, they have Reseller, VPS and Dedicated options. If that does not work for you try searching around in the offers and request threads in WHT. Good luck and please keep us updated!

Hi, Hostnine is in its initial seed stage. I am not going to discredit them as they have huge potential to grow. However, I would find a host thats been in the business for more than a year. You can try hostsearch.com or among others. Reviews are always usually awesome in its seed stage as you can see this trend in the hosting industry.

Actually, I think that its going to be better for you a reseller account, unless you already have some experience administering a dedicated server or VPS, is not a very good idea to experiment or learn on an active enviroment where your clients are already hosted.

I agree that you can be fine with a reseller account, cause you dont need much space and bandwidth. Going with unmanaged VPS, you can face to trouble, or if you go with fully managed VPS, the price can be high. Just stay with reseller account until you need more resources.

I recommend Hostdime. Their support is fast and the uptime is good. They provide Reseller Hosting, VPS and Managed Dedicated Servers. Also you can find a lof of hosting providers by reading the reviews on WHT.
