fed up with bliksemhosting change to another reseller company

Posted by demssite, 11-13-2006, 09:09 AM
Hi' i'm one more in the list of people taht are really fed up with bliksemhosting support and terat to the customer. There´s more than one month i'm trying to contact them vi emal, trouble tickets, etc.. with no answer. I'm having problem with an account that is increasing it's space and have no idea why, but i think they don't care about this. So yes i'm planning moving to a nother reseller hosting. And i write here cause i want you to know whats going on with bliksem, and to know what you advise me for change. I need at least 60 accounts, linux, fantastico, prefer cpanel(but don't care other), good uptime stats, and the most important thing for me a REALLY!! good 24/7 support, ahh and like 10 GB of transfer, and 3 or 4 GB of space. Thanks in advance

Hi, What is your price range for this? 60 on a reseller account is Alot. Maybe it's time to look at dedicated?

I have seen reseller accounts with more than a 100 domains as well. With the modest space and bandwidth requirements of the customer, I believe there would be many stable options for you to explore.

In general - support tickets should not ever go beyond 24 hours to received some form of answer from the staff with a certain provider. 1 month - if that is the case - is far beyond what you should have to endure to get support. If what you are saying is true, and it could be an isolated case or flux in their system, but I would suggest moving on. I would have to agree with the others that you should easily be able to find someone that is more than capable of handling your request. I would look into ResellerZoom to start with. That is just one suggestion out of many very qualified providers. I wish you the best.

Agreed! If your support is even taking that long, MOVE now!

Sorry to hear about your negative experience with Blicksem. You mentioned having problems with their support. How did you find their service otherwise? Server performance/uptime? If you want Fantastico, you have to go cPanel. Most other control panels have Fantastico equivalent tools though. Agreed.

Dotable seems to be the flavour of the month these days, and AussieBob the owner has a great reputation around here. You should fire them an email and see if they can help? I`m also a former Bliksem client, experienced a lot of issues and moved elsewhere.

ldcdc I had some problems with them cause the server qhere i had my account crashed like 4 or 5 months ago, and they lost lot of information like the email account of my customers. But the uptime except that is good. But i think is enought for changing. No response in tickets and no response in emails. So please feel free to recommend me something.

I am so frustrated with Bliksem. mySQL has been down on Luna for 9 hours now. None of my dynamic sites are working because of this! Any recommendations for something equivalent to Bliksem's server co-op plans?

Posted by gate2vn, 11-13-2006, 03:59 PM
one of our resellers even creates 200+ accounts within his reseller account... lolz... but most of his sites are few html pages only...

Posted by messa, 11-13-2006, 04:06 PM
Wow now that is alot. Basic html pages can't be using much resources though so it probably works well for everyone.

Webhosed, I'm on Luna also , without mysql today. My clients are asking questions. I've tried getting hold of Christine on IM , as she advised when this happened last week (2006/11/06) - but I havent managed to contact her yet. have you tried the support tool via the billing interface, if so any info at all? I'm also curious about similar plans to the coop, I'm happy to pay double what Bliksem charge for true 99% uptime

Posted by webhosed, 11-13-2006, 04:27 PM
Yes, I filed a support ticket through their billing but that was many, many hours ago and not even an acknowledgement. This has happened at least 4 times in just the past couple of months! I can't pay double, but I feel for what we're paying (equivalent to a dedicated) we deserve better service than this. I've been reluctant to post anything here in the hopes that Bliksem would improve.

Men don't wait for any answer. In the billign ticket system the never answer

Posted by Swelly, 11-13-2006, 07:02 PM
You have already given them the benefit of the doubt, been EXTREMELY willing to work with them, yet this is what you get in return?

Posted by Yash-JH, 11-13-2006, 07:10 PM
Are you sure they are receiving your communication? Could there be a chance your emails are being caught up in a spam filter? I suggest checking their website for their latest contact info, and try emailing them from a different email address. Also try using their phone # or forums

Posted by webhosed, 11-13-2006, 07:20 PM
They only take support requests through their ticketing system. Besides, you would think they'd know that mySQL was out on one of their servers -- their own status page indicates this.

I saw christine log onto AIM about 45 mins ago, she didn't reply though. last time I posted a support request in their 'temporary' help system christine responded quite quickly and the services came back on. this time not though. Same problem too. I'm not looking forward to my clients phoning tomorrow because I have nothing good to tell them. ------- edit - hooray it just came back on! phew , that means I dont have to hide from clients tomorrow! Maybe you can get this all worked out before then. Just alot of credits may need to happen to save face. I wonder why they don't answer you.

It's back. I'm not happy about the support tickets not being answered all day, but we'll see how it goes from here. I *want* Bliksem to succeed. However I *need* them to at least answer their own support tickets.

Posted by Swelly, 11-13-2006, 08:22 PM
Great, I really hope that you do not have any further issues with them! I understand that you want to see your hosting provider succeed that is a given. However, when the provider is showing bad on your part, then perhaps its time for a change. I do wish you the best of luck!

The recent increase in similar threads about Bliksem is of concern to me. I have been them for a couple of years and received pretty good service so far though my annual subscription is due in like a month. Earlier this year I got burned by not jumping off the Sonataweb ship in time...I should probably start looking for some alternatives just in case.

Add me to the frustrated client of Bliksemhosting. I've posted a support ticket but my problem has not been fixed for over a week now. I posted another follow up and have been responded with "we'll try to fix them" but up and until now, no signs of it having been fixed yet. My phpmyadmin isn't working. I posted twice in the support forums. No one is responding to them as well. I'm already feed up and i've posted another ticket to get my money back. I don't think i would ever host from them anymore. Enough is enough. A week of non-response isn't acceptable anymore. I'm really mad as hell! One Angry Bliksemhosting Client

Two weeks later and server Luna is still having problems with mysql going down. Every one of my database-driven client sites (which is most of them) has been down for most of the day. I received one response from Bliksem when mysql came back online for an hour today.... but having received no further replies since it went offline again shortly afterwards. Email is also down on the server. It is frustrating because...as an earlier poster mentioned...I *really* wanted to continue loving these guys. They were a fabulous host the first year I was with them and I adored their support team. But the sad truth is that it has just gotten too stressful trying to make up excuses to my clients as to why their websites & email services are being interrupted so often in the last few months. So I finally broke down today and decided to move to a new host. After mulling things over...I eventually decided on HostNine.com, which has been a refreshingly positive experience so far. It would be severely premature to write a review at this point...but I will definitely do so in a couple of months. Even so...I really must praise them for how helpful they've been in getting me transferred from Bliksem tonight. Unfortunately, the sites I host on Luna can't be transferred until MySQL comes back online - but I also had sites on BluBlitz that they've already taken care of. Anyways...I wrote a positive review of Bliksem over a year ago and plan on updating it with an 'exit review' now that I'm leaving them. Even if they ultimately deteriorated in support & performance...I'm hoping they'll be professional during my transition to a new host and provide a refund on the six month renewal I just paid them two of weeks ago. To be honest...I've never experienced any rudeness from their support staff. Just a general downgrade in quality of support. Christina...Jav....they were both always really nice to me. But then again...I was never the type to yell, demand or freak out when things went wrong. I was always pretty polite......and tried to be 'low maintenance'. Anyways...just my 2 cents. I'll write up that 'exit review' in the next week some time....

I'm on Luna as well - there's something super fishy going on over there. no support system - no phone "Call back in few hours" Triple charged my card (one time a month) and still won't process a refund and I've heard from many others who've had the money taken from him and never returned I've setup a blog bliksemfraud.blogspot.com so others can voice complaints without having to create an account and I'll send it over to my attorney to have a look and see if we can all get our money back from this crook. Cheers, DJ

Wow! If I lost almost 3K to them in three months...I'd be incredibly sore too! MySQL is back up this morning...but SMTP is down across the entire network. I'm trying to get things transferred out while I can. My last support ticket from yesterday wasn't even looked at yet (still in 'new' status as opposed to 'open' status).

From all that has happened, it is clear that Bliksem actually ended up as a fraud company. Not only did it cheat people, it betrayed the good faith of lots and lots of folks at WHT.

eldawg, I would be saving myself from much grief thats pretty sure to come. Once you see repeated threads of horrific complaints you are wise to make a move before you HAVE to.
