Something is definately wrong with 216.104.34.186. When I checked my Google account this morning I noticed that all pages from my sitemap were not showing indexed. Then I noticed that Google wanted me to reverify my websites. The last time this happen one of my sites never got the pages from the sitemap reindexed. Not to mention that I can't get to any of my websites at the moment. Dag, and I thought using a hosting provider was such a good idea.

its back up now..

Posted by GRODT$, 03-02-2008, 10:33 AM
ok, I reverified my sites and I have the same number of indexed pages as yesterday. Whew!

My web site www.sustainablesocietyclub.com is hosted at Midphase also. Last Friday, I couldn't get to it from my main computer. However, I could get to it from other computer with different public IP address. I run the tracert from my main computer. It got timeout at last step. Any of you knows why?

i also have had problems loading one of my pages -> but now all works fine (problem only was 2 days)

Maybe your ip was blocked in the server firewall?

Posted by stevenchen18, 03-03-2008, 10:39 AM
Yes. I also believe that my IP was blocked by server firewall. It is a shared server. However, the tech said it was not. I will test from that machine today to see if it is ok or not by now.

If you are still having any problems reaching your site please let me know. You can email me your domain name and your ip address. Visit whatismyip.com if you need assistance in finding your ip address so that we can check the server to see if it was blocked.

We have removed your ip from the blocked list. Please let me know if your having any other problems. Can you tell me what you may have been doing at the time ? Usually this happens when you hit requests for services such as email or ftp over and over, the server sees this as a potential DOS attack. I was having this problem with dreamweaver earlier this week.

Thank you, Timothy. It worked. I do not have email for this domain and don't do ftp often. The things I do are posting articles, or make comments on the forum, or use cpanel to check the status. I don't know which one caused the problem. I will pay attention in the future. By the way, did it blocked single IP address or a range of the IP addresses? Thank you again. Steven

Our system blocks on a per ip basis. But if you are using a router/gateway that ip address would be for your local WAN, which in turn would block all computers on that network from accessing the server.
