Email Hosting...

Hi, I have an exchange server at home with a couple of domains but I have been having problems lately because the reverse DNS does not have my server name and my ISP will not change it for me as they dont want people to have servers... For that and other reasons I want to have the email hosted outside and pull it down with the exchange server. I originally tought of Dreamhost with their 777 deal ($9.24 for a year of Crazy Reseller) will be perfect but then I read that their uptime is not good... Any Suggestions? Can anyone offer me something similar with very good uptime? These are the details of what I need: - Ability to host email for a couple of domains (2 right now, 6 max) - Ability to relay email for these domains from my exchange server - Account will not be used for web hosting or anything else - Control panel to add/remove email accounts for each domain - I dont think I will have more than 25 account per domian (6 per domain right now) - No spam or mass emails will be sent from that server, at most 50 emails per day are sent total... Thanks, G Last edited by Lumute; 06-26-2006 at 03:29 PM.

Hi, Sounds like you need a mail only account, with control panel and DNS access. We do not offer anything like that, but I do know this company does: http://www.sassinc.net Good luck!

While you may only need a mail account I am going to highly suggest you remember that the price you pay often determines the quality you get. Surely you must know the saying, you get what you pay for.

Being that you have exchange now, you could do something with a service like www.mailstreet.com and have the best quality exchange server out there.

Thanks you all for your responses. I do belive also that you get what you pay for, but the truth here is that this project is already over budget (small business server license, server hardware, etc...). I finally fund a solution that I think will be good at least for now, if this gets more serious I will consider those suggested companies. - To solve the problem of servers rejecting my emails as the reverse DNS does not match, I configured my exchange server to relay email using my ISP mailserver. I already tested and they let me relay with different domains and it works fine... - To solve the problem of possible downtime and mail being bounced, I will be using a Backup MX service, especifically rollernet.us as their service is free and I have seen good reviews about them. So, for now I was able to solve it using free services. Also, if anyone is interested, while doing this research I found couple of companies that offer both services for a good price (if free is not too reliable these are a good option): dnsexit.com - best offer in my opinion no-ip.com - also good costs dyndns.org Thanks again...
