How to create my own nameservers (DNS) in Server4You

Hi, I want to create my own nameservers (dns1.mydomain.com and dns2.mydomain.com) in my Server4You dedicated server. They do not offer any help. Any help from you about how to create them my self? Thank you!

Do you have a control panel? If not, you can use bind to setup your own DNS servers but it's pretty difficult to create bind compatible text files

Hi File1eu and thank you for your reply. Yes I have Plesk Panel and also the server4you.com have their panel but they don't have any manual for using it.

You also need to create it in you domain registrar. I recommend you contact them for help and possibly pay for the service if you do not know how to do it.

Where is your domain registered at? As net mentioned you will need to create them there as well. But since each host can be different you'll want to contact them, and if they don't have active tech support you may want to look into getting a new host that does.

Go to the domain registrar control panel of your domain mydomain.com and there will be an option to create child name servers (This will vary with registrars, most will provide). Create two entries as dns1.mydomain.com => IP1 and dns2.mydomain.com => IP2. Don't forget to add an A entry for this name server entries in your domain DNS settings. Now you can configure them for your all domains in Plesk once the DNS propagation completes.
