We have R1Soft CDP backups enabled on server and were have with the reduction is load and frequency of updates, till the primary disks crashed and we have to restore on new disks from backups. Can you believe 3 days have passed and we have been able to restore only 60% of 2TB data. Any one else facing similar issues or we missing something???

What R1Soft product version are you using? Are you doing a file restore or bare-metal restore?

I'm used to seeing >100MB/sec on long distance restores which would be around 6 hrs or so Max for 2TB. Alot of it has to do with the network connection quality and the speed of the CDP server's disk array. I think you've got a problem either on the CDP server hardware or more than likely a bandwidth limitation between the machines.

The backup servers are raid5 connected on 100mbps or gige depending on the servers involved. Were still working with r1soft on our v3 upgrade so still on the latest v2. It is a bare-metal restore.

As described on R1soft wiki this could be result of data fragmentation on disk_safes. Also it is depend from how old disk_safe you use. If we backup server and then use bare metal restore when backup done we see fast enough speed. But when we try restore year aged disk_safe restoration took horrible long time. Anyone verify this by test bare metal restoration to alternative test host.
