Top Hosting Companies

| I hate those stupid so called host ranking websites that are basically affliates to some big companies and recommending their services just for cash (you know what I am talking about).
Can't just help but think about the newbies who are burnt by these people, who are absolutely not doing a service (in fact, they are doing a desservice), and downright liars (almost all of them claim to be 100% independent).
Recently, thought of going to google, typing in stuff like top hosting companies, and then click on all the Ads at the side. That'll just spend their advertising dollar without giving them anything. Stupid idiots.

| Fake top hosting directories are definitely very sinister and frivolous. It really is a damn shame that people fall for them everyday. I think their existence even discredits the true web hosting directories a bit because you have people who end up not knowing who to believe. In addition, I know that there are quite a few web hosting companies out there who set up their "top hosting directories" and that is definitely not a legitimate way to get business.

| I tend to avoid such websites as, I have unfortunately gone through a bad experience with a company as a result... what are legitimate sites that are independent that have a list of the "top hosting companies" or are they so rare that it's better to just do your own market research on each company regardless?

| Well, many of them are happy providing list but many of them do go through each customer reviews. So, you can't actually say they are good for nothing as they are risking themselves depending on the affiliates amount,.

| I see people recommending those sites on this forum all the time. Its a joke. Its always the highest paying company being ranked #1.

| I look down even worse upon the actual web hosts that engage in that sort of activity.
